Sointu has been working among dance productions and other cultural events. She also worked for an artists´ residency in Saint Louis. She is interested in projects that create a sense of community. Dancing is important part of her life.
Sointu Pere (29 years) is doing an internship for The Children and Youth Foundation in Finland and is participating in Naatange Art La project in Dakar. In the project the main tasks are to do communications and update social media channels for CYF. Having a degree in tourism, she is currently studying cultural management at Humak University of Applied Sciences.
To become a cultural producer means a lot of work in practice. She has been working in different kinds of art and culture productions, for example in a dance film festival in Helsinki and in an artists´ residency in Saint-Louis. In Saint-Louis the work included mostly organising art exhibitions and other events, assisting the artists in their work and communications. She is interested in projects that creates the sense of community and are linked to global development and arts. It is impressive to see how art can influence to social problems in the society. Dancing is really important part of her life and self-expression. For many years she has danced cuban dance styles and at the moment she is into afro dances.
